Hi, I’m Nicole
I'm so happy you're here!I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, therapist, and founder of Temperance Psychotherapy.
Originally from Long Island, New York, I now call Central Florida home. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults across all levels of care, including outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), day treatment, and residential treatment settings. That experience has shaped a flexible, well-rounded approach to care that meets clients where they are.
My style is warm, collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care, but never robotic. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are, without worrying about saying the “right” thing or having it all figured out first.
My goal is to create a space that feels both supportive and effective, where we can make sense of what’s keeping you stuck, build tools that actually help, and create meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a wife and mom of three humans (plus a cat and a dog), an astrology enthusiast, a horror movie lover, and someone who firmly believes humor can absolutely be part of healing.
Education, Training &
Specialized Certifications
I believe effective therapy requires both meaningful connection and strong clinical training. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, ongoing education, and specialized training in the areas I work with most.

THE HEART BEHIND THE NAME
Why “Temperance”?
The name Temperance represents balance, flexibility, and integration. Not perfection, not rigid self-control, and not “having it all together,” but learning how to navigate life with greater steadiness and self-compassion.
So many of the struggles I help clients work through live in extremes. All-or-nothing thinking. Perfectionism. Anxiety that keeps your mind constantly racing. Feeling either completely overwhelmed or emotionally shut down. Wanting control, but feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.
Therapy is not about becoming a perfectly balanced person. It’s about creating more flexibility, building trust in yourself, and finding a way forward that feels sustainable.
That idea felt like the right foundation for this practice, and the inspiration behind the name Temperance Psychotherapy.
