What Is PediaBloom Family Collective? Collaborative Care for Central Florida Families
Finding the right support can feel like a project of its own. You might be looking for help with your child’s learning, your teen’s mental health, or your own care, and have no clear sense of which professional to call first.
PediaBloom Family Collective is a network of vetted, independent providers across health, development, mental health, and education. Although its name may bring children to mind, the network includes providers who work with people of all ages, from infants through adulthood.
What kinds of support can you find?
PediaBloom’s network includes professionals and organizations in areas such as medical care, mental health therapy, psychological testing, speech and occupational therapy, psychiatry, tutoring, and educational support. Some providers focus on children and teens; others also work with adults. Each provider’s services and age range are their own.
You may know exactly what you’re looking for. Or you may be trying to understand whether an ongoing concern calls for therapy, testing, medical care, or another kind of support. PediaBloom gives you a place to explore providers without needing to have the whole picture figured out first.
What does “collaborative care” actually mean?
Our needs don’t always fit neatly into one category. A child’s anxiety may affect school attendance. A teen’s eating concerns may require both mental health and medical support. An adult managing ADHD may also be looking for help with anxiety or daily routines.
Collaboration means providers can communicate and coordinate when it would be helpful and with the appropriate permission. For example, a therapist might speak with a client’s physician or another member of their care team so they have a clearer understanding of the person’s goals and concerns.
That doesn’t mean every PediaBloom provider is involved in every case, or that using the network automatically creates a shared treatment team. Providers maintain their own independent practices, and collaboration happens according to each person’s needs and preferences.
Why does this approach matter?
When you’re seeing more than one professional, it can be exhausting to repeat your history, relay recommendations between appointments, and figure out how the pieces connect. Access to providers who value collaboration can make those conversations easier when coordinated support is needed.
PediaBloom also vets providers in its network. Each provider remains responsible for their own services, scheduling, fees, and clinical decisions, so you can ask questions and choose the person who feels like the right fit.
My connection to PediaBloom
I’m Nicole Ivelevitch, a licensed clinical social worker and founder of Temperance Psychotherapy. I’m part of the PediaBloom community and see clients in person in Maitland, as well as virtually in Florida.
My practice serves children, teens, and adults navigating concerns including anxiety, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, body image struggles, and perfectionism. I value understanding the fuller picture of a client’s life and, when appropriate and authorized, communicating with other professionals involved in their care.
If you’re looking for therapy, you can reach out to me directly through Temperance Psychotherapy. To explore other types of support or providers for any age, visit the PediaBloom provider network. You can start with the question you have today. You don’t need a perfect plan before asking for help.
